AICTE – PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR GIRL STUDENTS-(Degree and Diploma) 2020-21

Eligibility for Pragati- Degree Level (AICTE approved Institution)

• The girl candidate should be admitted AICTE approved Institute in First Year of Degree level course.

OR

• Lateral Entry (LE) girl candidate in Second year of Degree level course.
• Maximum two girl child per family are eligible.
• Family income- not more than Rs. 8 Lakhs per Annum.

Scholarship Amount and Validity

• Rs 50,000 per annum for every year of study
• In case of first year admitted students maximum 4 years (Rs 50,000 per annum)
• In case of lateral entry maximum 3 years (Rs 50,000 per annum)

Scholarship Sanctioned for

college fee, computer purchase, stationery, books, equipment, software’s purchase etc. 

Eligibility for Pragati –Diploma Level (AICTE approved Institution)

• The girl students admitted in AICTE approved Institute in First Year of their Diploma Course

                                   OR

• Lateral Entry girl candidate in 2nd year of Diploma course 
• Maximum two girl child per family are eligible.
• Family income should be less than Rs. 8 Lakhs per Annum.

Scholarship Amount and Validity

• Scholarship Amount Rs 50,000 per annum for every year of study
• In case of first year admitted students maximum 3 years (Rs 50,000 per annum)
• In case of lateral entry admitted students maximum 2 years (Rs 50,000 per annum)

Scholarship Sanctioned for:

college fee, computer purchase, stationery, books, equipment, software’s purchase etc. 

PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING

• Apply online on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and After initiation of application process and notice to be published on AICTE website.
• First application verification- The host institution will verify candidate application.
• Second application verification will be done by Department of Technical Education (DTE) of respective State/ UT.

CRITERIA OF SELECTION (Degree Level)

• In case of first year: on the basis of merit of qualifying examination to peruse the Technical Degree course (in First year)
• In case of lateral entry on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2/ equivalent examination
• Scholarship will be alloted as per merit list of State/ UT 

CRITERIA OF SELECTION (Diploma Level)

• In case of first year: on the basis of merit of qualifying examination to peruse the Technical Diploma course from any of the AICTE approved institutions
• In case of lateral entry on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the 10^th / equivalent examination
• Scholarship will be alloted as per merit list of State/ UT
